Thomas K. Varney
Thomas K. Varney, M.S., CFPS, is Regional Manager, Allianz Risk Consulting, Allianz Global Corporate and Specialty, Americas. Tom is responsible for delivering Loss Control services for six Lines of Business (Property, Marine, Liability, Engineering, Energy and Aviation) and leading more than 50 risk engineers throughout Canada, United States, Mexico and Brazil. Reporting directly to the Americas CEO, Tom is instrumental in raising the global servicing consistencies and expertise across the entire organization and supporting Americas’ needs in Europe, the Asia Pacific Region and emerging markets. Prior to joining Allianz, Tom was a Loss Control Manager for Beazley Group and a Property Technical Manager for The Hartford Financial Services Group. Tom began his career at Industrial Risk Insurers/GE Global Asset Protection Services, where he was promoted to Managing Director, LP Operations. Tom has a B.S. from the University of Dayton and a Master of Science in Operations Management from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute. He has earned a Six Sigma Green Belt Certification from the General Electric Company.
