Gorilla Safety Launches a White Label ELD Solution

Contractors operating vehicles with a GVW exceeding 10,000 are required to adhere to the U.S. Department of Transportation’s Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration (FMCSA) mandate for Hours-of-Service, Electronic Logging Device (ELD), driver and vehicle files and other requirements. Gorilla Safety’s new white label, fully automated electronic logging device (ELD) was developed to directly address and meet the FMCSA rules that take effect in December 2017. With Gorilla Safety’s ELD, users can track hours of service, stay compliant with edits and automate all documents required for roadside inspections. Dodge Data & Analytics and Autodesk Collaborate on BIM Product Info and Data

Dodge Data & Analytics and Autodesk have initiated a collaboration to advance workflow integration and interoperability for design and construction industry professionals. Through Dodge Data & Analytics’ Sweets App for Autodesk Revit software, comprehensive product content is delivered through the application of Revit to help streamline the product selection process for AEC professionals involved in selection, purchase and installation of building products. The Sweets App for Autodesk AutoCAD software also will be available for AutoCAD subscribers. Cecilia Padilla Retires From On Center Software

After more than 25 years in construction management and eight years with On Center Software, President Cecilia Padilla retired on Oct. 28, 2016. As vice president and president, Padilla reinvigorated On Center’s focus on construction software. She served on the company’s executive Vision Team, a think tank on the future of construction automation, and introduced the industry’s first cloud-based platform: Oasis Takeoff® and Oasis FieldCenter®. The new president is Angelo M. Castelli, who joined On Center as a sales manager in 2003 after 10 years as chief estimator and project manager with Cleveland-based Western Reserve Interiors. 

Hargrove Engineers Unveils First Adaptive Toy

Hargrove Engineers + Constructors HAT (Hargrove Adaptive Toy) Project initiative helps fill the gap for adaptive toys among mobility-limited children. Hargrove Instrumentation Engineer Michelle Jones dedicated her engineering expertise to assist children with special mobility requirements after meeting Emma Pablo, an 11-year old with cerebral palsy. The first adaptive toy “EMMA” (Engineered Machine for Mobility and Access) was a modified off-the-shelf toy car that gives Emma the ability to control movement in a fun way. Each EMMA can be customized with head switches, joysticks and push buttons to accommodate individual needs.
